The roads to Åre are good, in principle wherever you drive from. If you drive up from central Sweden, allow some 6-8 hours for the drive. If driving from the south-west estimate 10-12 hours.
The distances to Åre are: from Östersund 100 km, Trondheim 180 km, Stockholm 650 km, Luleå 660 km, Gothenburg 860 km and Malmö 1,090km.
